Emily Ezaki-Swain
National and International Representative
Emily Ezaki-Swain is an internationally recognised speaker, being selected to represent Australia on the international stage for the second year in a row. In her most recent national competition, she ranked 2nd place overall after placing 1st in public speaking and 3rd in debating. She has both represented the ACT for public speaking and was selected as the youngest member of the state debating team in 2022. Emily has also been successful by placing in various public speaking and debating competitions such as the IGSA Festival of Speech, the Plain English Speaking Award and the UN Evatt National Finals. On top of this, Emily has coached several teams over the past four years. Her students have gone on to place top 10 at nationals, win local debating tournaments, and represent the state in debating.

Hannah, ever since her experiences as a tiny primary school kid standing on her tippy toes to reach the microphone, has strongly believed that speeches change the world. Starting out at the grand finals of ACT Rostrum and making her way to Australia's national team for the Worlds Independent Debating and Public Speaking Championship (WIDPSC), these experiences and everything in-between has offered countless platforms, connections, and most importantly, the power to speak up for herself, others and global injustices.
